Sick AGAIN!

So both of my kids have been sick, again. Jacie started with it two Saturdays ago. She is almost over it but she still has her chronic cough and a runny nose. Now Maddux has it. He has been sick for almost a week now and just can't seem to get over it. I am taking him to the Dr today. His little nose is so raw and he HATES that blue bulb syringe. He coughs, he doesn't want to eat, he doesn't want to be put down, and he always wants to sleep with me. That means no sleep for me, but who needs sleep right! Last night he would not let me put him down. It was so frustrating because I would get him to sleep and then try and put him down. He would wake up and scream, I would pick him up and then scream for another 5 - 10 minutes; which at 11:30 at night seems like an eternity. One of the things that sucks when your kids are sick is that you can't do any of your every day chores. My house is a wreck, I haven't gone grocery shopping forever and I haven't done laundry. Luckily I have a great husband that is totally understanding and helps out a ton. Anyway, enough complaining. Hopefully they will get over this and be well, until next month!!

On the GO!

Maddux is getting so big and learning so many new things. He is into everything! I have to watch him like a hawk. When Jacie was younger I could leave her in front of a Baby Einstein and go take a shower, come back and she would still be there happy as can be. Maddux, NO WAY! He finds the littlest piece of whatever on the floor and eats it. I have pulled more stuff out of his mouth at 9 months than I ever did with Jacie. My parents just got back from a cruise and in the week that they were gone Maddux started clapping, clicking his tongue, climbed a stair, is trying to stand up on everything, and is now crawling on all fours not the commando crawl. If only he would learn to sleep through the night!!! He has also learned how to defend himself from Jacie - he BITES! He has left some nice welts on her face. Tim and I kind of laugh because most of the time she deserves it! Oh the joy having kids brings! Maddux is a great kid though and loves his sister. He always gives her kisses and always gets a big smile every time she comes into the room.

Christmas Pictures

Jacie had a school program and Santa came, she was very excited to tell him that she wanted a house for Christmas, not a doll house a big house with a fridge, TV, car, and baby. Who knew that she would want to move out at 3 years old, I didn't think that would happen until she was a teenager!

Maddux also sat on Santas lap, he loved it!!

This is Jacie Christmas morning. She came down stairs and said "My house" man were we lucky!! She has been making meals ever since.

Maddux spent Christmas in Manti on my dads lap. I hardly even saw what he got because my dad just opened all his presents. It was nice only to worry about one kid! Thanks dad

Tim got Rock Band. He was totally stoked. I knew he was getting it and secretly took his XBOX to Manti. He did see it when he was unloading the car, I thought I was busted but he told me he didn't know why I had brought it until after he opened it. We spent all Christmas day playing it and had a BLAST!!

Our Chirstmas

We had a great Christmas. We spent Christmas Eve with Tims extended family. We were home for Christmas morning. Jacie woke up at 4:30, Maddux woke up shortly after to eat, by the time we gave up trying to get Jacie to go back to sleep our alarm would have gone off in 15 minutes. We opened our presents then went over to Tims parents, opened presents there and then drove to Manti. I think that Jacie now thinks that Christmas day is spent by ALL day opening presents!! That night in Manti both our kids were sick. Jacie had a fever and sore throat (which ended up being strep) and Maddux had a barky cough so I was all prepared to spend the night outside with croup. New Years Eve we went to some friends but only stayed until 10 because I had to work New Years. I am glad that the holidays are now over and I can get back into our normal routine, I have no idea what day it is and what I am suppose to be doing! My kids are finally getting over being sick, although give them another 2 weeks and I am sure they will be sick again! Things are finally getting back to normal. Now I just have to put all our Christmas stuff away and get all my primary stuff done. I am the sec in primary and when you have about 150 kids to put into new classes it takes some time! Hope all of you have a Happy New Year!
